This central location and dates, which includes weekdays and weekend, makes it easier for most to join. We’d love to see you, even if it’s just for a day or two!
Places we can visit include the Fort De Soto Park, Egmont Key, St Pete Beach, the inlet sandbar and more! Every day we can decide what to do as a group or break into smaller groups to visit different places or do different activities.
Boat launching & parking:
The Fort De Soto County Park boat ramp has 20 ramps and plenty of parking for vehicles and trailers. The cost is $6 per night. You can find directions to the boat ramp here:

How to find us:
Our home base will be located on the beach area of Mullet Key Bayou, west of camp site # 8 (look for the pirate flag). We will gather there for morning planning and evening socializing. We will also be monitoring VHF channel 72. Cell phone service is also available.
Overnighting options:
1. The Ft De Soto Camping Area – reservation required! Each camping spot has electrical connection, water and access to the bathroom and shower areas. There are very few spots left! Must book in advance here: https://public.co.pinellas.fl.us/parks/PublicSearchByDate.jsp
2. Boat camping at Mullet Key Bayou – free! Accessible only by boat. Located about half a mile southwest of the boat ramp, near the west side of the Ft De Soto camping area. This is a nice, protected area away from the main boat channel.
3. Primitive tent camping at the Shell Key Preserve – free! Accessible only by boat. Located about 1.5 miles west of the boat ramp. Must print free permit found here: http://www.pinellascounty.org/forms/shell-camp.htm
