Trip Description:
Come enjoy one of the best small boat sailing areas in Florida that for many of us is right in our own back yard: St Joseph Sound. In addition to the wonderful sailing opportunities, we will also take advantage of the many dining venues that are right on the water or a short walk away from free docks!
Friday meet up at spoil island .7 miles NW of Dunedin Marina at 10:30 am. We will sail together to lunch at Palm Pavilion on Clearwater Beach. Dock at free docks on Mandaly Channel- see map.
We plan on staying on/at the Dunedin spoil Island Friday night. There is room for anchoring and nice places to put a tent. There is also a nice meeting space with a fire pit. Participants may also choose to stay at a Marina (Dunedin Municipal and Caladesi for example) and rendezvous with the group. Anchorages and destinations for Saturday and Sundaywill be decided day by day. Mmonitor vhf radio on Channel 72. Anyone can join up with the group at any time.
