The WCTSS was founded in 1998. The club is open to anyone who is interested primarily in recreational sailing including daysailing, beach camping, dinghy cruising, small boat cruising, or just about any other activity you can perform on a trailerable sail boat. We sail primarily on Florida’s West Coast from Cedar Key to the Ten Thousand Islands, but also venture into the Keys, the Indian River Lagoon, and several inland lakes as well. We have regular club sailing activities throughout the year. Come join us!
Covid 19 Safety Precautions:
The West Coast Trailer Sailing Squadron assumes no liability for the safety of participants. All sailors are responsible for assessing the environment, their vessels and themselves at all times and making the appropriate decisions to keep themselves out of harms way. Regarding precautions for minimizing exposure to and spreading of Covid19, the club is adopting the following polices:
- If you are at high risk, consider not joining group activities
- If you are exhibiting symptoms of Covid or have been exposed to someone who has contracted covid, do not join any group activities for 5 days after exposure.
- Do not anchor boats closer than 10 ft apart and if not vaccinated, try to stay 6 ft apart from other sailors at campfire and other social situations.
